OBITUARY IiiHerbert H. Pawley, son of Win- 1 and Mary Pawley, was born in Dana, Indiana, Oct. 11, 1899 *nd passed away at St. Anthcry's Hospital in TerreHaute. Oct. IT, 1920, aged 21, years, and 6 days. jThe Pawley family moved to Montezuma in August, 1902, when Herbert was not quite tin s-e years old, so the greater part of ! Iris short life was spent here. jIt is useless to try to tell his: friends and neighbors of his I many good traits, his friend I i-1 ness to everyone, his pleasant' personality, his eagerness to do j a kindness, is sufficient to say, i for lie will be greatly missed by; all. iOn May 24, 1920, be was mar-1 ried to Miss Maude Mitchell of Newport, Indiana, and since then made his home in Indianapolis where lie was employed as car tester for the Premier Motor Company.He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife, father, mother, one sister. M ra. Susie Hamilton of Indianapolis, and two brothers, Arnett and Wayne both of LosAngel- s, California, and many other relatives and an innumerable number of friends.The funeral was held at the Pawley residence on North Mam street, Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. Frank Dawson of Newport and Rev. N. W. Clark officiated. Floyd Place presided at the piano and Kate Gardener and Nina Thomas sang The pal I-bearers were Lloyd Wright, R. H. Dixon of Newport Glenn Jerome, Charles Payton, Dee Presslor and Burch Clear-waters all boy friends uf Herbert. Interment in the Oakland Cemetery.
