Ho«c Wedding —The marriage of Miss Marion E, Pond and Mr. Lewis Wayne UlrichS./occurred at the home of the, bride'sparent-, Ur, and Mrs. Baker C. Pond,in Marshall to a ship last evening.• And it was a pretty wedding and fullof interest, to.the countryside becauseof the popularity of the young couple.The house- decorations were veryelaborate. A color scheme'-of yellow and white was' carried out, quantitiesof cliryanthomunis of those hues beingused, also Vines and autumn' leaves, the whole producing an effect that was very attractive. Within a broad doorway a lattice bad been construct^ ed of white crepe paper, and this was adorned with chrysanthemums and foliage. Within ibis lattice the ceremony took place. The bride ahd groom were preceded by two. little . flower girls, Marena Fond and Leora Cunningham who carried baskets of blossoms which they scattered as they walked.. The Ren A. Watson Brownof this city, officiated, Teading the service at 8:00 o’clock. Preceding the ceremony. Mr. Wesley Pond sang' “The j Rosary7’ and Miss Marena Pond played a violin solo, 4ill Trovatore.” The wedding march was. played by Miss Bernice;Derry of this1 city. The wedding ! gifts were very elegant, the collection including; silver, linens, household furniture, cut glass and: many other articles, both 7usefut and ornamental. The! .bride ;has_bpen.present at many social affairs arraigned in her honor the past few weeks..: Both she and the groohiare very highly; esteemed in their coic-munifcies and they have. hosts of friends whose good wishes Will accompany them to their new home. They : did not elect to take * a bridal journey but went directly to *their newly furnished residence in CeresCo Where they will at once begin housekeeping. About cue hundred guests attended the wedding, many -being from Jackson, Albion, Battle Creek, Olivet and Augusta. Those - present from this city were Mr. and Mrs, Roy Stbrr, Miss Helen Bull, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Sherman, Miss Sylvia Reese, Miss Pauline Day, Russell Conley, John floward and Harold S. Fran/iseo. -
