Kimberly McConnell, Richard Robinson wedMR. and MRS. RICHARD ROBINSONHoly Crews Catholic Church, Fort Branch, formed the setting of the wedding uniting Kimberly Ann McConnell and Richard Keith Robinson in holy matrimony.The Rev. Father Steve Lint-zenich officiated at the 7:30 p.m. double ring ceremony on Friday, Oct. 14, before an altar decorated by tapers, palms and candelabras forming an arch of candlelight.Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Howard McConnell and Robert H. Robinson, all of Fort Branch.Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride was attired in a formal gown of white organza and Chantilly lace. It was fashioned with a high neckline and long full sleeves. Lace and pearls accented the fitted bodice and continued onto the A-line skirt. A row of lace finished the hemline and swept into a chapel train. Matching lace encircled her chapel length mantilla.To carry out tradition, for her something old and borrowed, the bride wore a necklace of hermother’s, a gift from her father 25 years ago. The necklace was a hand carved mother of pearl, with two doves and a cross centered by a pearl. Something blue, her garter; something new, her dress, and she wore a lucky sixpence in her shoe.The bndal bouquet consisted of a silk nosegay of white roses, accented with coral dahlias and babies’ breath. Streamers of white and coral ribbon were intermingled in the bouquet.Organist Mrs. Iola Gregory and guitarist Mrs. Renata Tit-zer, accompanied the Holy Cross Girls Choir and soloist Mrs. Debbie McEllhiney, in nuptial airs throughout the ceremony.Regina McConnell was chosen to be her sister’s maid of honor. Bridesmaids were At-torua McConnell, sister of the bride, and Mrs. Rhonda Stuckey, Sherrie Wade and Marilyn Rexing, friends of the bride.The attendents were floor-length dresses of knit, in alternating colors of mint and coral. Their gowns were designed withhalter bodices topped with a removable cape. Each girl carried a single silk dahlia, surrounded by babies’ breath and tied with a white satin ribbon.The flower girl was Shana Creek, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Creek, Poseyville, friends of the groom. She was dressed in a coral floor-lentgh gown with circle cape, and carried a basket of fall silk flowers in shades of mint, white and coral.The best man was Tom Elpers, friends of the groom. Groomsmen were Harold Williamson and Keith Naas, friend of the groom; Kent Robinson, brother of the groom, and Kent Baehl, cousin of the bride. The ring bearer was Matthew McEllhiney, son of the Mike McEllhineys of Fort Branch, and cousin of the bride.The male attendants wore black trousers, with jackets in alternating colors of mint and coral. Each wore a silk rase bouttoniere to compliment the color of their jackets.Near the completion of the Liturgy, the bride and groom had a closing prayer, Sharing of Love.” At this time they asked the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard McConnell to come forward and exchange their marriage vows in celebration of their 25th wedding anniversary.Mrs. McConnell was the former Patricia Ann Ice of Francisco, daughter of Charles Ice of Princeton and the late Mrs. Venita Ice.The bride’s mother wore a floor-length knit gown of burgundy, and a corsage of white silk roses, with a silver ribbon complimented the ensemble.A reception was held following the ceremony in the Holy Cross Hall. Mrs. Mary Lou McEllhiney, cousin of the bnde, Mrs. Mary H. Miller, aunt of the bride, and Mrs. Donna Shiridan and Mrs. Glona Strawn, friends of the bride, assisted with the serving.Peggy Miller, cousin of the bride, registered the guests, and Michelle and Alicia Baehl, cousins of the bnde, distributed the wedding scrolls. Preceding the wedding, Darla and Sally Robinson, Princeton, sisters of the groom, passed out wedding programs.Following a southern honeymoon the newlyweds willmake their home at 400 N. West St. Fort Branch. Mrs Richard Robinson Ls a 1976 graduate of Gibson Southern High School, and is presently employed at Norman’s Finer Foods in Fort Branch.
