Patricia Palombo Becomes BrideA charmingly appointed reception Friday evening at the East Sharon Stake House honored Mr. and Mrs. Lance Sterling Rich, who were married earlier in the day in solemn ceremony in the Manti Temple.Mrs. Rich is the former Patricia Ann Palombo of Provo, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis A. Palombo of Fremont, Calif. Mr. Rich is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Owen S. Rich of Provo.The bride welcomed reception guests in her wedding gown of delustered satin with an overskirt of Chantilly lace. Long sleeves, a scalloped neckline and a chapel train of the satin held with a billowing bow in the back accented the floor-length gown. She carried a cascade of white carnations tied with tangerine ribbon and centered with a white orchid. A silk organza rose, encrusted with pearls, held her pouf veil of illusion.She was attended by Bonnie White, maid of honor, Karma Hall and Frances Whitney, and sisters of the,.groom, Kathy and Julene Rich. They wore floor-length gowns of tangerine crystal charm and carried fans of lace enhanced with clusters of tiny roses with delicate streamers.Mrs. Palombo chose a green brocade dress with matching coat and Mrs. Rich, cream-colored brocade, and each added white and tangerine carnations arranged in corsages.Walter C. Layton was best man and Newt Andrus, groomsman. Terry Booras, David Palombo and Craig Rich served as ushers.A filigree screen of entwined hearts and Grecian columns supporting baskets of talisman roses and white ferns formed the background decor for the receiving line. At the door stood a large white cupid filled with white roses and tiny entwined lights and Grecian columns looped together with tangerine satin bows and cupids were artistically placed at intervals throughout the hall.Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Johnson greeted guests at the door and Linda Lee Johnson was at the guest book. Assisting with gifts were Mrs. Walter Layton and Paula Schaerrer. Buffet refreshments were offered the guests.Special guests were grandparents of the couple, Mrs. Alice Schaerrer of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Clara Rich and Mr. and Mrs. Loren Nielson. Mr. and Mrs. Niel Schaerrer wrere out-of-town guests.Pre-nuptial parties have included a brunch at the Riverside Country Club with Mrs. LeRoy Johnson and daughter, Linda Lee, as hostesses, and a shower arranged by Karma Hall and Frances Whitney, Mrs. Keith 0.
