Larsen-FullagarSt. Paul’s Danish Lutheran church in Penn Yan was the scene of a lovely fall wedding Tuesday, October 25, when Miss Martha Ruth Fullagar, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Fullagar of the Bath road, Penn Yan, R. D. 2, became the bride of James Lewis Larsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jens Larsen of the Dundee state road, Penn Yan, R. D. 5. The Rev, N. T. Neesgaard, pastor of the church performed the ceremony.The church was attractively decorated with palms and baskets of chrysanthemums.Mrs. George Fullagar played appropriate wedding music and Mrs, Franklin Yarker of Rochester sang I Love You Truly.Miss Margaret Larsen of Penn Yan, R. D. 5, a sister of the bridegroom, was maid of honor. Joyce Fullagar, niece of the bride, was flower girl.The best man was John Larsen of Detroit, Michigan, a brother of the groom. Ushers were Leon Swing, of Penn Yan, R. D. 4, brother-in-law of the bride, and Chris Christenseft of Geneva.The bride, given in marriage by her oldest brother, George Fullagar, wore her mother’s wedding dress of brocaded silver gray silk with floor length veil. She carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums and pink snapdragons.The maid of honor wore a gown of light blue taffeta with black accessories and carried a bouquet of yellow chrysanthemums.Mrs. M. B. Joy of Branchport, maternal grandmother of the bride, wore a black gown with a corsage of white chrysanthemums. The groom’s mother wore a brown gown with a corsage of talisman roses.Following the ceremony a reception was held for the bride and bridegroom at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Fullagar with 35 guests present. Pink and white predominated in the color scheme.After a wedding trip to Albany and through the eastern part of the state, Mr; and Mrs. Larsen will be at home at Penn Yan, R. D. 5, after November 1st.Among the pre-nuptial events were: Kitchen shower by Mrs. Leon Swing, sister of the bride; linen shower by Mrs. George Fullagar; variety shower by Miss Margaret Larsen, sister of the groom and variety shower by Mrs. Cora Fullagar, Mrs. Vida Fullagar and Mrs. Marie Fullagar at the home of the former.Mrs. Larsen is a graduate of Penn Yan Academy in 1935. Mr. Larsen is a farmer and owns a farm in the Dundee state road.
