4lt;The marriage of Miss Lavina E* Jackson and Mr. Jolin W. Dietrick, which occurred at 9:00 o'clock last night, will occasion no little surprise m this city to the friends of both. It a home wedding, the ceremony being performed at the residence of the bride's parents, Mt. and Mrs. Ralph Jackson, 474 West Fifth street, by Rev. F. E. Hopkins. After the ceremony the assembled guests enjoyed an elegant wedding supper. Mr. and Mrs. Dietrick departed at -11:00 o’clock for their future home in Freeport.'‘The bride is the accomplished andestimable daughter of an old and highly respected family. The groom is employed by the Illinois Central as road-master, with headquarters at Freeport. Until about a year ago he held the posi tion of local freight agent for this city.
