R« It ordained by the Comm Council ol the city of Cawrcneeburgh, Lua born county, Indiana, l’hab there be Jevh assessed and collected for the year 188-S, on property subject to taxation within the cor| rate limits of said city, the following respeeti advalorcm taxes on each one hundred dolla ($100 00) worth of property:For general purposes ninety (flO) cents.For annual interest on debts and loans said city, thirtv (30) cents.Fur .Sinking Fund to pay principal of del and loans, live (3) cents.For principal and interest for Newtown K glne House property bought from Barbara G;i nicr, live (5) cents.»F or annual interest on certain bonds issn of date March 1st, 1*3S, also bonds issued date January 15. IfcSo, live (5) cents: which i tercst fund shall be applied to no other purpo than the payment of the Interest or principal said bonds.In all, on each and eveiy hundred dolla($100.00) of valuation of taxable* lor the puposes aforesaid, 11.33 and also a poll tax of llf(50) cents on each male inhabitant of said ol (sane and not a pauper) of the age ol 31 yeaand not exceeding 50 years.Sec. 2. Thete snail also he levied and ccIccted, tor the year bSss. on every mute dogai spayed female dog. $1.00; on every dog unspayi $2 00; and $2.00 lor each and every addition dog more than one owned by one person with said city, to he collected from any person ow: Ing, keeping or harboring such dog or dogs.Sec_ 3. The ( ity Uiork shall, between no ami November 15th, IKSS, make out aduolica list of the taxes as assessed as aforesaid, in tl same manner that duplicate lists are made oi by County Auditors, and cause one copy of ti duplicate lists to be delivered to the Treason of said city on or before said November 15,13^ Sec. -1.
