Miss Shirley Turkewich, bride-elect, was honoured at a shower and a stag and shower. The shower, at 'the home of her aunt, Mrs. Stella Poworski, in Winnipeg, was on October 4th. Seated with the guesit of honour were her mother, Mrs. Turkewich; the groom’s mother, Mrs. Skochylas; Shirley’s grandmother, Mrs. Zaluskii; her bridesmaids, Misses Gloria Turkewich, Helen Skochylas and Joan Federowich. Toast to the bride was given by Gloria Turkewich. Guests numbered 85, with many from Winnipeg Beach, Komar-no, Teuton, Meleb and St. Nor-1bert. IThe stag and shower, to honour Tony and Shirley, on Oct. I 11th was held at Crabby Steve’s Dance Hall, Komarno. A large j number of relatives and friends attended and Tony and Shirley i were presented with a large sum of money, on behalf of all present, by Mr. Ron Skochylas. A most enjoyable evening was iiad by all.
