Eagan, 3632 Wyandotte, to John P. Flaherty, son of Martin Flaherty of Emmetsburg, Iowa, was held in Our Lady of Good counsel church at 8 o'clock Tuesday morning, Sept: 16. Rev. J. J. Downey, pastor, celebrated the nuptial Mass. The church was decorated with . tuberoses and pink gladioli.The organist played a weddingville Jurgens, 1,643.The winner will compete in the district contest to be held at Mallard next Monday, October 27. There will be a large number of the district's best pickers on hand for the meet.The West Bend school band entertained those present at the picking site before the contest got under way. The Harbison Five of Em-nfetsburg also entertained the crowd after the contest and until the results were announced. An evening program was furnished by a magician from the Allied Mills and Davenport Elevator company. This entertainment was held in the Legion hall. There was a good attendance.
