Brasch . CruickshankA double ring ceremony wassolemnized in Grandview United Church, Saturday, August 23rd, 1975 when Cathy Lyn Cruickshank, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vic Cruickshank was united in marriage to Raymond Matthew Brasch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Doug Brasch. Rev. Earl Gould officiated with Mrs. WadeCowling as organist.The bride, proudly escorted up the aisle by her father, looked radiant in her floor-length gown of white ruorganza with fitted bodice The stand up collar and yoke were accented with a beaded design and a shoulder ruffle. The empire-waisted gown had long sheer sleeves whichended in a cuff of lace. The bouffant skirt fashioned with a wide bottom flounce joined by appliques of lace. The head piece of the veil was made of beaded lace in a princess style. A double layer of netting edged by lace in two lengths finished the veil beautifully. She carried a lovely bouquet of red roses entwined with baby’s breath and fern.The matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Wendy Cruickshank, The bridesmaids, were Joan McIntyre, a dose friend of the bride, and Kathy Brasch, sister of the groom. The girls wore floor length gowns of blue flowered sheer, over taffeta, with a high empire-waist and cut away sleeves. They carried bouquets of daisies and carnations entwined with blue baby’s breath and fern. Keely Menzies, cousin of the groom acted as flower girl, carrying an identical basket of daisies and carnations. She wore an identical gown tothe bridesmaids.Ray was handsomely attired in a blue tuxedo, black bow tie and a ruffled white shirt, tippedwith black.His abtendents were Ralph Palmer, Bill Harris and Dennis Glennie. All three wore blue tuxedos wfih black slacks, black bow ties and white ruffled shirts tipped with black. Ushers were Ricky Cruickshank, brother of the bride, and Jim Brasch, brother of the groom. Both wore blue blazers, blue checkered slacks, pale yellow shirts and matching bow ties. Thegroom wore a red rose boutonniere and- the attendents and ushers wore white carnation boutonnieres. Lance Maxwell, relative of the bride, acted as ring bearer, carrying a ring cushion made by a friend of the bride. He wore a sweet blue suit, black bow tie and a ruffled white shirt tinted withblack.. i- -* — -' 'The mother of; 'looked lovely as she was escorted in wearing an empire waisted aqua dress of polyester, featuring a V-neck line. The empire waist and sleeves were accented with an arrangement of beads. Her corsage was white roses with baby’s breath tinted aqua.The mother of the groom looked lovely in an ice orange for-trel dress, featuring a V-neck, lace cap sleeves, and an accord-ian pleated skirt. Her corsage was white roses with baby’s breath tinted pumpkin.Father of the bride wore a suit of brown and father of the groom wore a brown blazer and checkered pants. Both wore a carnation tinted to their wivesdress color.,? .;•! -v'bFollowing the ceremony, a supper was held in the basement of the United Church, Ralph Palmer acted as Master of Ceremonies and Rev. Gould gave the blessing. The toast to the bride was very nicely given by Mr.* V*.
