MAN WHO PROSECUTEDJAMES GANG IS DEADKANSAS CITY, Oct. 22William H. Wallace, 39, the manwho prosecuted the Jesse Jamesgang, died at his home here yesterday. ' As Jackson county, prosecutorin the 1880’s, Judge Wallace ;brought to trial William Ryan, ione of Jesse James’ lieutenants.1Ryan was sent to prison for 25 years. !I wo years later Wallace was special prosecutor at Gallatin, Mo„ when Frank James, brother of Jesse, was tried for murder. James was acquitted. Jesse was shot to death at St. Joseph, Mo.f a few' weeks later.
