In a setting of gold rust chry santhemums, Penelope Lorraine Windeatt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Windeatt, Church Street, became the bride of Samuel Elliott Srigley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Srigley, Minesing, Ontario. At the ceremony in St. Phil ips Anglican Church, the bride chose a floor length, organza over taffeta hyacinth white dress, with a rounded neckline. The Empire bodice was accent ed by a self fold and bow with a deep band of pearl beaded alencon lace. The sleeves were short, gent ly belled with beaded alencon lace and the skirt had soft folds with the wide band of beaded alencon lace repeated above the hemline and a detachable chapel train. She had an open cone shaped headpiece of matching material catching a double veil of silk tulle illusion. Service was conducted by Rev. Brian Gilbertson, brother in-law of the bride and John Sutton was the organist. Given in marriage by her father, the bride carried a bouquet of white orchids surrounded by baby orchids. Matron of honour, Mrs. Ger aldine Ann Gilbertson, sister of the bride, wore a full length moss green over apple green peau de soie dress. The bride smaids, Mrs. Frances Bowman and Mrs. Elaine Blackstock were attired in similar dresses with matching head dress. Flow er girl Penelope Ruth Gilbert son’s dress was yellow over yel low peau de soie with head dress of yellow mums. Best man was Clarence Srig ley, brother of the groom and ushers were Murray Bowman and Harold Srigley. At the reception at the Sky line Hotel, the mother of the bride wore a navy blue suite and the groom’s mother a gold brocade dress. Both carried red roses. The couple have now taken up residence in Weston. Out of town guests were from Gimli, Manitoba, Sarnia, Read ing, Pennsylvania, Detroit, Win nipeg, Calgary and Minesing. For the wedding trip to the New England States, the bride selected a very pale moss green suite with matching shoes and bag and brown hat and gloves. MR. AND MRS.
