(INS)—Often a bridegroom but never divorced was the conscience-stricken story 32-year-old Melvin Hahn, poured out to listening but disbelieving officials at Anderson.Hahn left his home in Elwood, Ind., and reported in at the Madison county jail at Anderson with this story: .He was married first in 1944 to a girl whose name.he no longer remembers. • * -His second bride was Rebecca Hart, whom he married in 1945 in Coosbay, Ore. She left him shortly and went to Decatur, 111.Two weeks after she left, Ilahn met and married in Tucson, Ariz., Patricia Silveiy lone, a pretty little Indian maid. .Three weeks later, he was in SanPTA Conducts FirstSprings, Okla., where he wooed and won Ruth Corbin. They slipped off to Florence, Ariz., for the ceremony which kept Hahn in wedded bliss for one month.• Then he went to Oklahoma City and met Goldie Mae Whitmire, whom he persuaded to flee with him to Van Buren, Ark.', for a quick wedding. Goldie Mae kept Hahn home for a year.But homeward he'turned atthe end of the year and married Esther Hicks, in Elwood. Five weeks later he was in Los Angeles, Calif., where he met Joyce Middleton whom he married in Las Vega».Joyce did as well as Goldie Mae but not. any better.
