He came to Linn county, la., with his parents In 185G, where he resided until hla death, which occurred October 7, 1215.lie enlisted in the Civil war tied faithfully served hie country for sixteen months, being wounded at Ulogold, Georgia, Auguet 27, 1863. He returned home In November of that year.December 22.1804, be was married to Miss Emily Hoff, who preceded him in death in March, 1899. He united with the Utter Creek Primitive BuptiHtehureh in....November, 1878. and was later chosen deacou, which office he held ut the time of his death. L. Nay of Waterloo at Todd-villo on Sunday, (Jet. 10, where interment also took place in the Duukard cemetery.
