Wedding Belle*One of the most pleasant social events of the season occurred at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. John S. Smith, near Sears-burg, on Thursday afternoon, Oct. 15. The occasion was the marriage of their (daughter Miss Louisa, to Peter C. Chapman, of Ovid, N. Y. A large number of invited guests were present including relatives and early school friends. The bride was dressed in rich and tasty material ; and style, and never appeared to greater advantage or more beautiful than at this time. The ceremony was performed by Rev. E. Tyler, pastor of the Christian church, at Scarsburg, for which eongrega-i tion the bride had been organist for a long time.1 The bridal gifts were elegant and cost- lt;; ly, coming from friends present and ab- i • sent. Allen, Esq., all of Ovid, Mrs. Weed Barnum, sister of the bridgroom, husband and son,of Seneca Falls, Covert Smith and bride, of Farmer Village, Rev J. G.
