Mr. and Mrs. William FryeWeddingsPurcell-FryePatricia L. Purcell and William H. Frye were united in marriage Oct. 6 in Kansas University’s Danforth Chapel. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Purcell Jr., 3057 W. Eighth. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Frye, Reddings Mill, Mo., are parents of the bridegroom.Kitty Giffin, Lawrence, served as maid of honor and Steve Frye, Joplin, was the best man. The couple also was attended by Mrs. Patti Purcell, Lawrence, and Tawnia Frye, Joplin, as bridesmaids, and by Michael Frye and John Purcell III, Lawrence, as groomsmen.Renata Frye lighted the candles and Mrs. Jane Frye was at the guest book. Mrs. Joy Frye attended the gifts. Organ music was provided by Mrs. A. F. Gallup, Lawrence.A reception for the couple was held in the Eldridge House.The bride is a 1978 graduate of East Tennessee State University and the bridegroom works with his family’s construction firm, Frye Construction Co., Joplin.
