The story of the escape is I told by The News:-s I11 While the guests and the bridal par* ?|ty were in full possession of the De* 11 Wolfe home Mr. Marsh and bride very a I cautiously left tbe merry scene and,*+ Ij seeking quarters in the home of Miss .[Geneva DeWolfe in the same yard, I remained under cover until an early r]hour this morning, when they were B I driven to LaPorte where they boardedII a Lake Shore and Michigan Southern .. I train and left for Hot Springs, S.I Dak. A telegram received this morn* c ling by Mrs. DeWolfe conveyed the in*I1. formation that the couple had reach* g|ed LaPorte after traveling the dis* ^ I tance in a carriage. During the [hours that Mr. Marsh and bride were [in hiding, the anxious crowd had sep* Marated, young ladies as special guards e | weer stationed in various parts of the I neighborhood, while several of the T | stronger sex journeyed to LaPorte in r 1 hopes of overtaking the couple who [had so unceremoniously left the house [that was the scene of much gaiety.1 Their efforts were fruitless and the [laugh is now upon those who had peril I petrated much fun at the expense of I the newly married couple.
