Jennifer Anne Fulghum of Buckhom and Joshua Carroll Lewis of Mount Olive were married Oct.3 in a 5 p.m. ceremony at Buckhom United Methodist Church. Pastor David Amon officiated.The bride is the daughter of Tim and Barbara Fulghum of Buckhorn. She is the granddaughter of George and JoAnn Oakey of Buckhom, Keith and Rose Fulghum of Bailey, the late Gloria Bridgers of Sims and the late Pete and Rachel Newcomb of Tarboro. She graduated from James B. Hunt High School and East Carolina University with a degree in family/sociology.The groom is the son of Teresa Lewis and EdLewis-die Lewis, both of Mount Olive, and the grandson of Russell Jones and thelate Faye Jones and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold Lewis, all of Mount Olive. He graduated from Spring Creek High School in Seven Springs and Wayne Community College. He works with CM Plumbing.Escorted by her father, the bride wore a Justin Alexander ivory beaded trumpet mermaid gown accented in Chantilly lace and featuring a V-tank neckline. The back of the gown was finished with a deep V-neckline,chapel-length train and regal satin buttons. For her headpiece, she chose a fingertip veil trimmed in pearls and beads.She carried a bouquet ofwhite roses and sunflowMrs. Lewisers along with a white lace baby’s Bible given by the bride’s great-grandparents, the late Jack and Jessie Raper of Buckhorn.Maid of honor was Maria Glover of Los Angeles. Bridesmaids were Errica Starling of Sims, Morgan Renfrow of Sims, Ali Holland of Wilson and Chelsie Spurgeon of Mount Olive, cousin of the groom. They wore floor-length single shoulder chiffon gowns in purple by Justin Alexander.Junior bridesmaid was Ella Barnes Boykin of Wilson, cousin of the bride. She wore a purple chiffon tea-length tiered gown by Justin Alexander.Flower girl was Aubrey Renfrow of Lucama. 1 lerivory dress was fashioned with a three-tiered skirt with a lace bodice by Justin Alexander.Best man was the groom’s father, Eddie Lewis. Groomsmen were Michael Spurgeon of Mount Olive, uncle of the groom; Chad Spurgeon of Mount Olive, cousin of the groom; Brandon Fulghum of Sims, brother of the bride; and Jimmy Ward and Timmy Carter ofOMount Olive. Ushers were Cameron Malinofski, Daniel Ward and C.J. Barwick, all of Mount Olive. Ring bearers were Jackson Santifort, nephew of the groom, and Jesse Boykin, cousin of the bride.Wedding music was presented by Dr. WillieDupree, saxophonist; Travis Woodard, keyboardist; and Sara Jones, vocalist. Program attendant wasJenna Barnes of Raleigh. Directors were Teresa Renfrow and Patsy Jones.A reception at Leaning Tree of Bailey followed the wedding. Hosts were the bride’s parents.On the eve of the wedding, the bride's grandparents, George and JoAnn Oakey, were hosts for a rehearsal dinner at the Elks Club of Wilson.An engagement party was given in April at Sleepy Creek by the groom’s family.They took a wedding trip to Clearwater, Florida, and will reside in Mount Olive.
