National president to address Daughters of American ColonistsMidlothian-South Suburban chapter of the National Society Daughters of American Colonists will host the Illinois State assembly honoring Mrs. D. Delmas Caples of Reistertown,Mrs. D. Delmas CaplesMaryland, national president of the organization.The assembly will be Wednesday and Thursday at the Homewood Sheraton Inn.Wednesday evening’s program will begin with a reception at 6:30 p.m. followed by a 7 p.m. candlelight dinner.THE EVENING’S entertainment will be presented by the Nicholas Skrabutenas family of Homewood who will present an 18th century musicale. The group, dressed in Colonial costume, will play popular Colonial music on instruments of the period including a hammer dulcimer, bowed psaltery and American zithers.Caples will be the speaker at the Thursday luncheon at noon.The assembly organizers are Mrs. Jeffrey Malak of Calumet City, regent of the Midlothian-South Suburban chapter, and committee members Mrs. Chester Kuch of Hazel Crest, Mrs. Charles Long of Homewood, Mrs. Durwood Cook of Blue Island, Mrs. William Jacobs of South Holland and Mrs. Roland Lawrence of LaGrange Park.
