Foy-Rentz Exchange VowsAfternoon CeremonyOn Sunday, October 8, 1972, at 3:00 in the afternoon,Catherine Collier Foy became the bride of Mr Ted McManus Hentz in a beautiful double ring ceremony. In the presence of the couple’s immediate family the wedding took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Birdsong of Perry with the Hev. James M. Teresi officiating.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bennie B. Collier, Sr. of Perry and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Hentz of Columbia, South Carolina. The wedding was performed before a background of ellow gladioli set in two tripod vases with Dr. William Hentz of Columbia, South Carolina, serving as his brother’s best man.Mrs. John Birdsong of Perry was her sister’s matron of honor. Mrs. Birdsong wore a floor length gown of apricot and ivory chiffon. The apricot skirt was framed by a depth of ruffle at the hemline while the ivory modified bodice and full sheer sleeves were trimmed with beige lace and embroidered apricot flowers. Her hair was adorned by tiny apricot bows. She carried several long stemmed tangerine carnations with matching streamers.The petite bride was lovely in a floor length gown of apricot chiffon featuring embroidered apricot lace on the fitted bodice and sheer bishop sleeves. The slender A-line skirt became fuller in the back with the gathers held by a flat bow of embroidered apricot lace. The shoulder length veil of apricot illusion fell from a satin headpiece of tiny apricot bows and lace petals. The bride chose to carry a bouquet of miniature yellow chrysanthemums and tangerine carnations accented by matching apricot and gold ribbon strainers.For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Collier wore a printed beige knit dress with brown accessories. Her corsage consisted of bright yellow carnations. Mrs. Hentz selected a red knit dress with three-quarter length sleeves and matching accessories. Completing the outfit was a corsage of white carnations.A reception was held following the ceremony at the Ochlahatchee Clubhouse which was attended by friends of the bride and groom. Guests were greeted at the door by Mrs. John Kackley of Perry, and invited to sign the guestregister.Covered with white satin the bride's table carried a beautiful three-tiered yellow wedding cake adorned with off-white roses and topped with white satin wedding bells. Mrs. Shelby Smoak of Perry cut and served the cake. The table was attractive with a silver can-dlelabra arrangement of miniature yellow mums and tangerine carnations and\ ellow tapers.Presiding at the refreshment table, also covered with white satin, were Mrs. Frank Able and Mrs. George Taylor. The crystal punch bowl was accompanied by a silver candelabra holding \ ellow tapers in an arrangement of miniature yellow mums and tangerine carnations.F or their wedding trip, the new Mrs. Hentz wore a gray and royal blue knit dress with matching gray accessories. Following their trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, the fcouple will be at home at G33 Pine Kidge Street, Apartment 3, inPerry.Gut of town guests included Dr. and Mrs. William Hentz, brother and sister-in-i .w of the groom, with their children, Cindy, Billy, and tndrea, Mrs. C.W. Hentz,mother of the groom, and Mrs. Haymond McKay, sister of the groom, with daughter, Julie.On Tuesday, September 26th a miscellaneous shower was given in the Community Hoorn of the Bank of Perry Branch honoring Catherine Collier hoy, bride-elect of Mr. Ted Hentz of Perry. Hostesses for the event were Mrs. Charlene Kackley, Mrs. Loretta Greene, and Mrs. Martha Griffin. Upon entering the bride-elect was presented with a lovely red carnation corsage by Mrs. Kackley. When the guests had arrived, games and conversation began. Gifts were brought and opened by the new bride with much excitement. The hostesses then presented her with a dinner plate and cup and saucer in her chosen pattern.Delicious refreshments of tiny cakes, punch, mints and nuts were much enjoyed by the guests after which they departed offering their congratulations and best wishes to the new bride to be.On September 30th, 1972, Catherine Collier Foy and Ted M. Hentz were honored with a casual drop-in given by Mr. and Mrs. Shelby Smoak at their home in Perry. Couples who were close friends were invited to come by to offer their congratulations and best wishes to the bride and groom. Delicious refreshments were set on a lovely table for all to enjoy. The bride was given a beautiful corsage of orange and green daisies.
