Miss Howell is Autumn BrideMiss Mildred Howell, daughter of Surrogate and Mrs. Leone D. Howell of Mineola and Mattituck, was united in marriage to Willoe ,R. Gregory of Norfolk, Va., in a very pretty autumn wedding performed on Saturday in the Georgian Room of the Garden City Hotel, Garden City. The Rev. Randolph Gregory of Washington, D. C., brother of the groom, officiated.The bride, who was beautifully attired in a white satin gown, with tulle veil caught at the crown with white sweet peas, carried a bride's bouquet of white rosebuds and sweet peas. The matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Mrs. Robert Dettner of Mattituck, while Miss Dorothy Koeppel of Mineola was the maid of honor. Mrs. Franklin Dexter of Mattituck, Mrs. Ovel Gregory of New Rochelle, Mrs. Frank Seaman and Mrs. Roland Guild of Mineola, were the bridesmaids. All the attendants were attired in varying shades of peach colored chiffon, with blue flower hats, and they carried pink roses and blue delphinium.Ovel Gregory was best man for his brother, while Warren Seaman of Amityville, Clive Thompson of Garden City, Robert Dettner of Mattituck and Roland Guild of Mineola were the ushers.During the ceremony Walter Stark of Riverhead sang “O Promise Me” and “Because.Mrs. Howell, mother of the bride, was attired in old rose lace, with wine accessories. She wore a corsage of orchids.After a honeymoon trip to Virginia, Mr. and Mrs, Gregory will! reside in Mineola.
