Brothers Plead Guilty To Highvoay-Inn Hold-Uj.GIRL IN CAR 10 FIGHT CHARGEToomey Brothers Plead Guilty, Girl Companion Will Face Jury Trial.William Toomey, 26, and his brother, Patge Toomey, 21, who, according to their own confessions, held up and robbed the Cricket Cafe early on the morning of October 10. on Cedar Point road, near the Arlington docks, entered pleas of guilty to robbery in the circuit court today. The two brothers, both of whom at the time of their arrest claimed to be marine firemen, were remanded by Presiding Judge Saffold Berney for sentence.Ruby Glllis, 23-year-old resident of 606 St. Louis street, indicted with the Toomey brothers, also for robbet y in connection with the hold-up, entered a plea of not guilty through her attorney, C. W. Tompkins, and her case set for trial'for October 27. Attorney Tompkins announced that he will plead that the Oillts woman was a victim of circumstances and that she did not have a part in the planning of the hold-up.John J. Red Smith, of Pascagoula, Miss., and Willie Alien, of this city, indicted for the theft of a lot of machinery and equipment from three idle steamers of the Steel Line, Inc., amounting to several thousand dollars, entered a plea of guilty. They were remanded for sentence.Among the pleas of guilty were the following: oJe Smith, alias Detective Joe, plea of guilty to burglarising the Bowab Dry Goods Store on Davis avenue; James Petite, burglary of the office of Elmer Maddox and stealing a typewriter; John. Smith, assault to murder; Joseph Muntx, burglary of the store of Alex Hassipi at Lawrence and St. Michael streets; Charles Lange, grand larceny; James Johnson, two cases, grand larceny; Robert Houston, burglary, and Lee i Arey, grand larceny.
