The child suffered a fracture of the skull, a broken nose and a number of bad cuts and bruises about the body. The child was taken to the Methodist hospital for treatment, and had not regained consciousness at last reports.Raymond Franke who was driving the car at an excessive speed j was placed under arrest on the| charge of assault and battery. The j car is said to have skidded forty | feet before striking the child and about 60 feet afterward.
