Lochard—Paddack.A pretty October wedding was solemnized at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Paddack last Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock, when their only child, Lucile, was united in marriage to Francis Lochard, only child of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Lochard of near Linden. The bride and groom mingled informally with the guests until the hour of the ceremony and at the strains of the Lohengrin wedding march, took their place, unattended before an altar of ferns and pink flowers, where the Rev. Nicely of Battle Ground read the beautiful and impressive ceremony in the presence of only the immediate relatives and a few friends. The bride wore a lovely gown of white satin with georgette overdrap-enes and carried pink roses. Following the ceremony the Misses Gladys Mullen, Thelma Martin and Mary Todd assisted in serving refreshments of brick ice cream a»d angel food cake. The bride is a graduate of Darlington high school and also attended the Business College at Fort Wayne and held a position as stenographer at the General Electric works at that place. The groom is a farmer. They will be at home to their many friends on a farm near Linden. The occasion was also the twenty-second wedding anniversary of the bride’s parents.
