Mdcowbrie-HarriiigtOM Exchange VowsMiss Debra Lynn Macoubrie and John Jeffrey Harrington were married in a double-ring ceremony Sept. 13 at the First Baptist Church.Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Jewel E. (Jack) Macoubrie, 721 W. Central, and Mr. and Mrs. William H. Harrington, 611 Belle Air.The ceremony, performed by the Rev. Carl Garrett, was performed before an altar decorated with candelabra and an arrangement of pink and white gladiola. Miss Tami Macoubrie, sister of the bride, and Matthew Hall were candlelighters.Wedding selections were sung by Miss Terri Wilks, who was accompanied by Mrs. Doug Huntley, organist.Escorted by her father, the bride was attired in a gown of while crepe with Empire waist and chapel train accented with rows of lace ruffling. The bodice, of rose-designed lace, had a stand-up collar and long sleeves. Her fingertip veil of illusion was trimmed with lace and attached to a lace cap trimmed with seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of phalaeonopsis orchids, pink rosebuds and ivy atop a white Bible.Miss Keri Pyle served as maid of honor and bridesmaids were Miss Pam McWilliams and Miss Sara Dayringer.Dan Gray was best man and William W. Harrinton, brother of the bridegroom, and Eric Douglas were Groomsmen. Ushers were Neil Coen, Daniel Kaighen, Tom Platt and Tom Gross.Miss Lori Macoubrie, sister of the bride, attended the buest book and reception assistants were Mrs. Rod Hendrickson, Mrs. Clarence Whisler, Mrs. David Hall, Miss Debbie McWilliams and Miss Debbie Downey.Out of town guests included Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Allred, Amarillo, Tex., maternal grandparents of the bride; Mrs. J. E. Macoubrie, Carrollton, Mo., paternal grandmother of the bride; Mrs. Harold George, Parkville; Mr. and Mrs. David P. Macoubrie and sons, Chillicothe; Daniel Kaighen, Kansas City; Miss JoAnn Percival, Liberty; The Rev. and Mrs. Mel Roblee and family, Kansas City; Mrs. Leroy Mitchell, Springfield, and Mr. and Mrs. Dave Durham and sons, Joplin.The rehearsal dinner was given by parents of the bridegroom at their home on Sept. 12.Following a honeymoon in South Dakota, the couple are at home at 903-F N. E. 68th Terrace, Gladstone, where he is a student at Missouri Institute of Technology and is employed by Sears Roebuck and Co.
