Thursday, September 27. 1973 at the age of 80 years, 7 months and 29 (lays.Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 29 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with the Rev. Gerald Hubertus officiating. Burial was in Resurrection Cemetery. Victoria.The body lay in state at Colonial Funeral Home until 8:45 a.m. at which time it was taken to the church.Mr. Pesek, retired owner ofPosek's Western Center, had resided in Victoria for 30 years. He was bom January 28. 1893, in Sweet Home, the son of Frank and Mary (Turek) Pesek.He served in the army during World War I and was a mem-ler of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society of St. Mary's Catholic Church and American Legion Post 166.Surviving are his wife. Mrs. Libuse Pesek of Victoria; a daughter. Mrs. Janis Heichle-heim of Lubbock; two sons, MarkPesek of Victoria, Charles Pesek of Lake Jackson; three sisters, Mrs. Albina Turner, Mrs. A. W. (Lillie) Matusek, Mrs. Carrie Fikac of Sweet Home; two brothers. Frank Pesek of Hallettsville; and nine grandchildren.Preceding him in death were his parents; a sister, Mrs. William (Mary) Opela, March 31, 1961; two brothers, four brothers. John Pesek in 1939, T. J. Pesek. April 17. 1955. James Joe Pesek, September 2, 1964, and Emil M. Pesek. September 2, 1971.
