..MfBridal Gown Designed By Mother of Groom»At a double ring ceremony performed by the Rev. J. Leighton in St. Aidan's Anglican Church in Ucluelet, B.C. Miss Betty Norah Thompson, ter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Thompson of Ucluelet w a s united in marriage with Mr. James Ernest Leech, son of Mrs. Leech, 2829 Austin Avenue. Victoria, and the late Mr.J. E. Leech.The bride who was given in marriage by her father was radiant in a gown of embossed nylon over satin fashioned with high scalloped neckline and lily point sleeves. The gown was designed by the groom’s mothpr. A half cap of seed pearls held her elbow length veil and her pearl necklace and earrings were gifts from the groom. Her bouquet which she later gave to her 92-year-old grandmother, Mrs. K. Karn, was of red roses ajid carnations. ^ ;Miss Joyce Letchei. maid of-htfhbr, .wore a full skirted gown of gold brocade with gold accessories. Bronze chrysanthemums were in her bouquet.Miss Ann Thompson was bridesmaid for her sister and wore a dress of aqua nylon taffeta and matching feather hat. She also carried bronze chrysanthemums.Mr. Eugene Pedneault of Bowen Island, B.C., was best man and Mr. Barry Philbrook. and Mr. Lowell Panton showed guests to the pews.During the signing of the register, the Junior choir under the direction of Mrs. TedMrs. James Ernest Leech who was married in Ucluelet, B.C., presented her bridal bouquet to her grandmother, Mrs. Kate Karn, who celebrated her 92nd birthday recently.*—(Chevrons Studio.)Welland, sang O Perfect autumn foliage.
