Mr. and Mrs. William L00 TouchtonmGildersleeve, Touchtone wedLinda Marie Gildersleeve and William Lee Touchtone were united in marriage Sept. 25 at the First United Methodist Church in Lynn Haven. The candlelight, double ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Haroll DeVane.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Gildersleeve of Panama City. Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. William Matteson Sr. of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Gildersleeve of Panama Citv.The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Touchtone of Panama City.Nuptial music was presented by Mrs. Elizabeth Parker, organist, and Mr and Mrs. Harry Johnson, a duet.Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a traditional formal length gown of organza trimmed with silk venise lace. An exquisite design of venise lace formed her fitted bodice and extended to her sheer bishop sleeves. The bishop sleeves ended with dainty lace cuffs. Crystal pleats created the flowing skirt and attached chapel length train.To complement the gown, the bride wore a waltz length veil edged with matching lace and scattered lace flowers. She carried a fresh flower cascade featuring white roses, yellow carnations, white statice, baby’s breath, and satin ribbon with lovers’ knots and bows.Dianna Gildersleeve, the bride’s sister, served as the maid of honor. Angie Reeves was the bridesmaid.Tad Touchtone, the bridegroom’s brother, was thebest man. Stan Van Etten was the groomsman. Mike Gildersleeve, the bride’s brother, and John Van Etten were the ushers.Laura Johnson was the flower girl.Following the ceremony, a reception was given by Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Gildersleeve at the church. During the reception Linda Payne and Cindy Giersberg served the punch, Shawn Wright and Carol Harrison served the bridegroom’s cake, Leigh DeVane and Suzanne Stopka served the bride’s cake and Annette Touchtone attended the guest book.The wedding was directed by Janice Villars. The reception was directed by the Altar Guild of the First United Methodist Church of Lynn Haven.After a wedding trip to Fort Walton Beach, the couple reside in Panama City where the bridegroom is employed at Bay Memorial Medical Center. The bride is employed at Van’s PhotosA rehearsal dinner was held Sept. 24 at the Harbour House Restaurant. It was hosted by Mr and Mrs. Arnold Touchtone. Music was provided by Angie Reeves, pianist.A bridal shower was hosted by Janice Villars and Dianna Gildersleeve Sept. II at the First United Methodist Church in Lynn Haven.Another bridal shower was hosted by Suzanne Stopka and Cindy Giersberg Sept. 19 at the Stopka residence
