St. John's Church Is Scene Of Nuptials; Catherine Oshust Marries Anthony StugmyerChrysanthemum* in gold and bronze. together with rich palms end tall candelabra graced the altar of St. John * Church to provide a beautiful setting for the wedding yesterday of Mis* Catherine Mary Oshust. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dominick Oshust of Taylor Avt., and Anthony Stephen Stugmyer, son of Mr and Mr*. Joaeph Stugmyer of Prospect Avt.T h • impressive double-ring ceremony was performed at half after nine o'clock with the Rev. Fether John B. Oberlander officiating.A recital of nuptial air* was presented with* Sister Clara Marie at the organ and the girls’ choir singing Nuptial High Mass. John S Murray sang Gounod’s Ave Marie”. “Pams Angelicus” and •*On This Day O Beautiful Mother”.Andrew J. Stugmyer. brother of the groom, served at best man. while John J Stugmyer. Joseph P. Orth and Stephen E. Settich were ushers.Miss Ann Orth, was maid of honor, and Miss Marie Elieff wa* bridesmaid. Their gown* were fashioned alike of Ice blue slipper satin. Designed with fitted bodices, the gowns featured wee cap sleeves, sweetheart necklines! finished with small collar* and full skirt* which fell gracefully from a corded waistline. The; skirt* were gored in back and had cluster* of unpressed pleats in front to give additional fullness. They wore matching mitt* and carried bronze and gold chrysanthemums. Both wore matching headband*, and rhme stone necklaces which were a gift of the bride.Given in marriage by her father, the bride was radiant in a gown of white slipper satin designed with sweetheart neckline, lilted bodice and with long fitted sleeves which tapered to points at the hands. The bouffant skirt and neckline were adorned with trapunto. The bodice buttoned down the back with wee selfcovered buttons, while completing the ensemble was a large circular cathedral train.Her veil was clasped to a halo bonnet of lace which was trimmed in pearls with a two-tiered veil of illusion banded in lace falling to the fingertips. She wore a white orchid.Following the ceremony a wed-, ding breakfast was served at Hill-crest for the families, while the wedding reception for over 300 Ifuests was held at Hillcrest at € pun. when a delicious dmne: was served.Vasts of chrysanthemums T centered the tables and fall fiowrer* were placed at vantage points about the r com. A four-t.ercd wedding cake topped with miniature bride and groom centered the bride s table.The bride's mother received her fuests in a two-toned grey crepc frock with which she wore bluck accessories. The groom‘s mother wore a black dress with matching accessories Both wore corsages ©f bronze mums.The young couple left on an extended tour of Canada. Niagara Falls, and po.r.ts east. For traveling the bride changed to a ^ wine gabardine suit with which the chose striking green accessories.
