Sandusky Sailor Takes Bride In Wedding At Jacksonville, Fla.A wedding of interest to Sandusky friends took place in Jacksonville, Fla., when Miss Barbara J. Pinder, daughter of Mrs. Mary Pinder and the late Georgy T. Pinder of Clearwater, Fla., and Thomas John Sletz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas W. Sletz, 531 Clinton-st, were united in marriage.The ceremony took place in the Murray Hill Presbyterian Church at 8 p. m, Saturday, Oct. 10 with the Rev. Vance A. Gordon officiating.For her wedding the bride chose a tailored robin’s egg blue suit with dubonnet accessories and a corsage of gardenias and rosebuds.Mrs. Sletz was graduated fromRobert E. Lee High school in Jacksonville and is now employed in the film training unit at the Jacksonville naval air base.The bridegroom was a member of the 1939 Sandusky High school graduating class and he is serving in the U. S. Navy aa an aviation machinist mate third class and is stationed at the naval air base in Jacksonville.Mr. and Mrs, Slets plan to visit the bridegroom’s parents the last week in October.
