GOLDEN WEDDING ANNIVERSARY OF LA PLATA COUPLEMR. AND MRS. JAMES MAITLAND GIVE PARTY AT HOME AS CELEBRATION.La Plata* Mo., Oct. 16.—Mr. and Mrs. James Maitland ceelbrated •their 50th wedding anniversary at their home here Thursday by givtaff a family dinner. Covers were laid for 14 and the bride and groom of 50 years were showered with many good wishes.The relatives present besides tha immediate family were Mr. and Mrs. B. W. Lee, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lee and Mrs. Albert Herrin.In the evening there was a get-together meeting bt the Methodists at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. IX Shunk in honor of the new minister. Rev. and Mrs. L. M. Cooper. At this reception, Mr. and Mrs. Maitland were remarried in the presence of their church workers and friendA Their son, Dr. E. P. Maitland, district deputy game warden, was away on official business and missed seeing the happy faces on this occasion.Mr. and Mrs. Maitland have been residents of this place for 15 years.
