_ * * *Fargo Courier-News: Mrs. Rose;McCarthy of 71f Ninth avenue north announces the engagement of her daughter. Mias Ferryl McCarthy to C. E. Llndholm of Dickinson, the marriage to take place Novembor 8. Mr. TJndholm was formerly connected with the Western Union here, and Is now with that company as wire chief and an oparator at Dlcklnaon.Mies Ferryl McCarthy was surprised Wednesday evening by some thirty of her friends under the leadership of i Misses Tena Anderson and Ellen Mon-tain. Tt was a parcel shower at which Miss McCarthy received many beautiful gifts of cut glass, linen and silver. Musical numbers, solos and duets were given by several of the guests, and refreshments were served. Decor-ntlona of chrysanthemums were used.
