{Meng-Barrett. j8A very pretty and charming home wedding was celebrated at the family residence of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Barrett on Saturday afternoon, Sept 27, at 2:30 o’clock, khen Miss Mabel J. Barrett became the bride of DrCharles F. Meng. jThe bridal party was ushered in] j amid the strains of Mendelssohn’s beautiful wedding march, rendered by Miss Ella Albert. Miss Louise Locke of La Salle, acted as bridesmaid and Virgil V. Vale of Gran-P viile, as best man. It was a very ■ pretty picture, with Francos Koehler, the little niece of the bride, act-|: ing as flower girl, carrying a basket of pink carnations and followed by the bride and her father.The bride was arrayed in a most beautiful gown of shadow lace over white satin and carried a large bouquet of bride roses.The bridemaid wore yellow chiffon and carried pink roses.Adah Bullock sang. a very beautiful solo just before the wedding march.After the double ring ceremony, which was said by Rev. Egerton, the guests were served with a tempting luncheon by the girl friends of the bride. During the wedding luncheon the guests were most charmingly entertained with piano selections rendered by Miss Florence Stanford of , Tonica. The gifts were many and beautiful.I At 4:30 Dr and Mrs. Meng leftfor Indianapolis, leaving later for 1 Louisville and Mammoth cave, Ken*! tucky Upon their return they will ' go to housekeeping in Granville.1 It is needless to say the many 1 friends of Mrs. Meng will miss her very much, especially in church and social circles, she being a general favorite among the young people Among the guests from out of town were Mrs. Overby, Miss Wilhei-mina Hebner, George Meng of Grenfield; Mr and Mrs. Charles R Barrett, Miss Florence Locke of Chicago, Mrs. F R. The doctor came on to Granville to resume his office duties, while Mrs. Meng remained to closeip her official affairs with her•hurch and societies this week. She
