Woodwardla palms formed the background.Heirloom Wedding GownThe bride, given In marriage by her brother - in - law, Marvin Smoot of Goldsboro, wore an heirloom gown of magnolia Dut-chess satin and imported antique lace. The puffed sleeve off shoulder effect carried out the lace theme, ending in calla lily points over the hand. The lace bodice cascading down the satin skirt swept into a Cathedral tram. Prom the brides heirloom lace queen’s coronet fella full length veil of antique lace and illusion. Her only ornament was a diamond brooch. The brides flowers were a cascade bouquet of pure white hybrid orchids, crimson Rosette roses and stephaootis, arranged in a shower effect.Miss Beverly Gammon of Leggett was maid of honor. Mrs. E C. Winslow, Jr.. of Tarboro, and Mrs. Marvin Smoot of Goldsboro, sisters of the bride, were matrons of honor. The dresses were of kelly green taffeta fashioned with champagne off shoulder lace which cascaded down the front panel, heir coronets were of gold maline and butterfly orchids They carried gold velvet muffs topped with a spray of green Cymbidlum orchids and Cavalier roses.Four BridesmaidsBridesmaids were: Miss JaneHeins, of Sanford, cousin of the bridegroom; Miss Harriet Carr, Greenville: Mrs. John Sadler, Chapel Hill; and Mrs. Prank Perry of Sanford. They wore gold taffeta dresses made identical to those of the honor attendants and carried green velvet Muffs topped with sprays of gold Cymbldium orchids and Cavalier roses. Their coronets were iden-rangements of daisies, the club flower.
