Miss Edith Dudley, daughter ol Mr. and Mrs. L. O. Dudley and Albert Ryan, son of Mr. and Mrs John Ryan of this city were united in marriage in an impressive double ring ceremony Sunday morning, October 11 The ceremony was performed by Rev. Cameron Harmon at the First Methodist Church Parsonage at Carbondale, Illinois. The attendants were Miss Chlo Jones and Carl Kraus, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Green of this ! city. The bride wore a dress of blue chiffon velvet with navy blue accessories and carried a bouquet | of rose buds and lilies of the valley.Mrs. Ryan graduated from the Christopher Community High' School with the class of 1933 and was selected as the most popular girl by her classmates that year. She was employed as typist with , the Illinois Emergency Relief Commission until a few months ago.Mr. Ryan graduated from Christopher Community High Schooi with the class of 1929, and is also a graduate from Southern Illinois Teachers Normal at Carbondale in 1933. He was employed with the 1. E. R. C. tor a year and later secured a position as Educational Advisor at Skokie Valley CCC Camp at Glenview, Illinois, a suburb ot Chicago.The popular young couple left immediately after the ceremony for a few weeks’ honeymoon trip in the South and will then return to Chicago where they will make their home.
