Susan and Darrell SiefkerJohnson - SiefkerA trip to Vermont followed the August 21 wedding ceremony of Susan Johnson and Darrell Siefker. Don and Dorothy Johnson of Sauk Village are parents of the bride and Melvin and Erma Siefker of Monee are parents of the bridegroom.The Rev. Robert Pasbrig officiated at the afternoon wedding at Zion Lutheran church, Crete. Joel and Thea Buege of Crete sang and Judy Heldt of Crete played the organ.The bride wore a white organza gown with a Queen Anne neckline and bishop sleeves with a silk Venice lace trim. She carried a handkerchief crocheted by her grandmother that her mother carried on her own wedding day. Her flowers were white roses, carnations, stephanotis and greenery.JAN LOMAN of Steger; Fran Piepen-brink of Crete; Helen Belz of Beecher; Judy O'Malley of Alsip and Chris Dugan of Sauk Village, both sisters of thebride; Nancy Siefker of Monee, and flowergirl Monica Henning of Momence also attended the bride.Best man was Mark Abell of Monee. Groomsmen were Mike Grimes of Grant Park, Bill Webb of Cedar Lake, Dale Bernard of Champaign, Bruce and Marvin Siefker of Monee, the bridegroom’s brothers; ushers were Don Johnson of Sauk Village, the bride’s brother, and Jack Robbins of Wilmington. Ringbearer was Mark Vanaman and Michael Vanaman handed out rice packets.The couple lives in Monee.The new Mrs. Siefker was graduated from Bloom high school in 1975 and attends Prairie State college. She works in the collection department at First National bank, Chicago Heights.Siefker is a 1973 Crete-Monee high school and 1976 Joliet Junior college graduate with an associate degree in agricultural business. He is a self-employed farmer.
