Cyril and Methodius’ Catholic Church, Shiner, in a double ring ceremony Monday morning, October the fourth, at seven o’clock with the Rev. ThomasJ. Collins officiating.The bride looked lovely in a white satin dress with a fittedlace bodice over satin and long lace sleeves which came topoints at the wrists. Changeable color beads and sequins accented the front of the dress. The skirt of satin had double nylon net with rows of Chantilly lace extending down to the bottom on the last skirt.Her finger-tip veil of imported nylon illusion with embroidery along edges fell from a crown of pearl changeable sequins. She carried an orchid circled with white carnations tied with satin ribbon and awhite prayer book, a gift from the groom.Mrs.r,k,et3-ldillLawrence Christ of Houston, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor and Miss Agnes Stary of Shiner served as maid of honor. They both wore floor-length light blue taffeta dresses with double net skirts and hats and gloves to match. Their bouquets were of light blue carnations with white and blue streamers.Best man was Lawrence Christ of Houston and Milton Wagner of Moulton served as groomsman. They wore blue business suits with blue carnation boutonnieres.Miss Jeanette Wagner, of the groom, served as bearer and Miss Barbaraniecering-Zissawhile Barbara Zissa carried a white bouquet ~~T’nationkWitnesses were Victor Stary of Corpus Christi, brother ofthe bride, and Edward Pilat ofShiner, brother-in-law of thegroom. The groom and the witnesses wore business suits with white carnation boutonnieres.book.The mother of the bride wore an aqua dress with white and blue carnation corsaee whileAn all-day reception was held at the bride’s home. The bride’s table was laid with abeautiful hand embroideredlinen table cloth, centered with an arrangement of blue asters and a white iced three-tiered wedding cake topped with a miniature bride and groom. The cake was decorated with tiny blue flowers circled with a ruffle of nylon net around the edge of the cake which was made by the bride’s sister. Mrs. Lawrence Christ of Houstoncorsagethe groom’s mother wore a navy two-piece suit with white and blue carnation corsage.The newlyweds left on a short honeymoon trip. For traveling the bride wore a two-piece blue suit with black accessor-was in charge of the bride’sies and a pink and white corsage.The bride has been employed over two years at the Tex Tan in Yoakum.
