MARRIAGE LICENSE REFUSEDJ, J, Dlmfok Aga 80 Wants to Marry Mrs. Tando. — Frlanda of thsOld Man tntarfsrs.From Monday’s DallyWhat might have piovon a sensational marriage was stopped by a tele phone from the Clerk of the Coarts of Audubon oounisy late Saturday afternoon.Last Saturday afternoon Olerk Clovis received a message over tbe'phone asking if lie would be in his office at 7 o'clock that evening and would he issue a marriage license. Shortly after answering in the affirmative, a call from the Olerk of Andnboo county asked tlmt the license be not granted as there was u hearing to come up Monday as regards the insanity oi the prospective bridegioom.The parties to ifehe oase were J. J.Dimiok of Audubon, a man past eighty year a of age and Mrs. Lulu Tando, who secured a divorce from her husband, Henry Tando at the last session of the District court. The groom is a man who is supposed to have considerable property in Oklahoma and in Audubon oounty and for some time Mrs, Tando has been aciiug as his housekeeper. Mrs, Tando has bean married and divorced three times and the friends of the old gentleman felt that under the circumstances they had a perfect right to interfere. The couple arrived in Atlantic on tini8 and presented themselves for the license promptly at seven o’clock Saturday evening but were politely told by our genial clerk that the “stuff was off. It is supposed that they drove to Exira Saturday night, It is another case of “No fool like an old fool.
