Christine Ann Scala WedTo Ellwood SouthwickThe First Baptist Church of Titusville was the setting for the Saturday, Oct. 6 wedding of Christine Ann Scala and Ellwood Southwick.The bride's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Mario Scala of 217 W, Spruce St., Titusville, and the bridegroom's father is Ellwood Southwick Sr. of Youngsville.The 5 p.m. single-ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Richard K. Mercer Jr.The bride was given in marriage by her father. She chose a floor length chiffon gown with the bodice featuring sheer bishop sleeves with lace trim and cuffs, a Queen Anne neckline and an empire waistline with the skirt ending in a chapel train overlaid with vertical rows of Chantilly lace. She carried a bouquet of silk blue cosmos, brown roses and glycerine. She wore a matching tiara in her hair.Mrs. Marianne Locke, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. She wore aTitusvillefloor-length gown of dusty rose quiana. She carried a bouquet of silk pink roses, burgundy, forget-me-nots, mauve daisies and glycerin. She wore a matching silk flower cluster in her hair.Handy Locke, brother-in-law of the bride, was best man.Candelabra and flowers graced the altar and Mrs. Michelle Hamrick, sister of the bride, organist, presented the selections. “You Light Up My Life,” “Love Story,” “If,” “I Honestly Love You.” and Because.”The bride’s mother wore a slreet-length navy blue and beige print quiana dress and a corsage of silk brown roses, blue cosmos and glycerine.A dinner at Cross Creek Resort followed for the wedding party ana guests.Guests attended from Baton Rouge, La.; Rosedale, L.I. N.Y.; Hydetown and Titusville,The bride is a 1970 graduate of Titusville High School. Her husband is a 1966 graduate of Titusville High School and is employed by Universal Cyclops Corp.AH guests received matching silk corsages or boutonnieres.
