Candlelight ceremony unites Chariton couplePamela Kay Slack, daughter of Mr. and M?s. Milford Slack and Randall Ray Trenary, son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Trenary wereunited in marriage Friday,Sept. 29, at $ o’clock in the evening at the Nazargne Church in Chariton.Rev. Duane Houston performed the candlelightceremony before an altardecorated with two seven branch eandelabras and two cathedral baskets of white carnations and blue gladioli.Mrs. Fred Stuart, organist, played the nuptial masic and accompanied Sylvia Hixson as she sang, “A Time for Us”, “O Promise Me”, “The Wedding Prayer” and the Theme from Love Story.Miss Slack given in marriage by$er father vwre a floor length gown of Sata Peau and Cluney Lace. Ibe empire bodice featured a standup collar, long bishop sleeves with a lace flounce. 1tve A line skirt was trimmed with a wide lace flounce.Her cathedral length veil of silk illusion was edged with Cluney lace and attached to acapulet of seed pearls. The bride carried a bouquet of white daisies and blue carnations.Attending the bride as matron of honor was GlendaEvans of Lucas andbridesmaid was Dee Ann Slack, sister of the bride. The attendants wore identical floor length gowns of royal blue velvet with matching head pieces of royal blue bows and net. Each carried a bouquet of daisies and blue carnations.Tonya Mclntire dressed in a floor length white gown served as flower girl.Tim Gross served the bridegroom as best man with Carl McKnight as groomsman. Ushers andeandlelighters were Denny Slack, Bobbie Clark, Bruce Hermann and Merrill Reed. Bearing the rings to the altar was Brent Hixson, i Following the ceremony a ' reception was held in the * Community room of the I National Bank and Trust ’ Company. The light blue wedding cake was decorated,with navy blue daisies and%topped with a miniature bride and groom. On each side of the cake was placed a single blue candle to complete the table decor.Cutting and serving the cake was Mrs. Dwight Wilson. Punch was dipped by Chris Slack and coffee was poured by Barb Wilson. The reserv ed table was served by Margaret Boston of Des Moines and Jewell Slack, sister of the bride and Brenda Ansley served as hostess.Kandy Trenary, sister of the groom presided at the guest book with Geri GiJJman and Bev Neer in charge of the gift table.The bride is a senior at Chariton Community High School and the groom is a 1970 graduate of the Russell Community High School.Mr. and Mrs. Trenary areat home at 905 N. Grand,Chariton.Mr. and Mrs. Don Trenary were hosts at a rehearsal dinner Thursday evening preceding the wedding day for members of the wedding party.
