Walter Needy at the Methodistchurch at 3.80 o’clock Saturday afternoon. The bridal party entered the church to the strains of Lohengrin and Mendelssohn wedding march-es, played by Mias Clara Martin of Kennebunk. The party consisted of: Ushers, Kenneth Goodwin, brother of the bride, and Elwyn Lahar of Kennebunk; grcom, Dr. Wallace Everett Hatch, and best man, Dr. R. Fulton Johnston; ring bearer, Benjamin Goodwin Jr., nephew of the bride; flower girls, Evelyn and Rosemary Davis, nieces of the biide; brides,- \ maids, the Misses Mearl and Pearl Googins, cousins of the groom; matron of honor, Mrs. Carolyn Hatch, sister of the bride; and the bride MissMyrtle Goodwin, with her brother, I :Benjamin Goodwin, Sr. who gave herin marriage.Miss Goodwin wore a gown of white satin and lace with a court train. At the neck was fastened a brooch 1 worn by the bride’s grandmother at her wedding 86 years ago. She wore a Duchess lace veil, fastened with 1 orange blossoms, and carried a show- j er bouquet of bride roses and lilies of the valley.*JIiThe matron of honor, Mrs. Caroline K*Hatch, of Hartford, Conn. and sister, of the bride wore a Queen’s blue georgette dress and carried an arm jbouquet of yellow chrysanthemums. | The bridesmaids, the Mises Mearl. and Pearl Googins, twins, and cousins yy of the groom, were dressed in pink1 erepe-de-chene, and carried arm bouquets of yellow carnations. IThe little flower girls Evelyn andRosemary Davis, daughters of Mr. and Mrs, Joseph Davis, of Biddeford, and nieces of the bride, wre white jvoile embroidered in pink and blue, and carried baskets of mixed flowers.The ring bearer, Benjamin Goodwin, f Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Goodwin, and nephew of the bride, carried the ring on a pillow of whitePmithDlt;satin.n 10peiiiw'The church was decorated in au-tumn leaves and asters.Mrs. Hatch is the daughter of Mrs. Rose Goodwin and is a graduate of Biddeford high school in the class of,^ 11)17, of Gray’s Business college, and,^ I,eland Power’s in 1926. j0Dr. Hatch is the son of Edward vv Hatch of Salem, Mass. He is a graduate of Kennebunk high, the University of New Hampshire in 1922, and'ft Harvard Medical in 1926. He is a c,member of the Kappa Sigma frater- n, nity. He is nowf in the surgical ser- elt; vice at the Boston City hospital. During the World war he served 13 ^ months overseas with the northernPlt;bombing group.Dr. R. Fuller Johnston is from1Brunswick, a graduate of Bowdoin in ; b1923 and of Harvard Medical in 1927. jo;He is a member of the Phi Beta Kap-jtl pa fraternity and is in the surgical if service at the Boston City hospital. ! n After the wedding a reception was p held at the home of the bride, which iclt; was prettily decorated with fall flow- -ers. Dr. Johnston and Mrs. Carolyn Hatch assisted in receiving the 70 ormore guests present. )Mrs. I^ora Kimball, a sister of the bride, had charge of the refreshments, and was assisted in serving by Mrs. Joseph Davis and the Misses Mearl and Pearl Googins. Mrs. Millard Tripp and Miss Ernestine Grant dipped punch, and Mrs. Caroline Hatchhad charge of the guest book.The bride’s going-away gown wasof wine colored velvet and metal brocade. She wore a coat of brown withfur collar and cuffs to match and a hat of black velvet.There were a large number of beautiful and useful gifts including silver, linen and money.The out-of-town guests were: Mr.and Mis. Y., has been a visitor at the home of Mrs. Carrie Huff.Mr. and Mrs. Frank Goodwin and family of the Pool road were in town Saturday to attend the Goodwin-Hatch wedding.Walker Smith pulled his team at Acton fair last week.Among those who attended Acton j fair were Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Hill and Mr. and Mrs. George Gould.Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Burleigh andMr. and Mrs. Ray Burleigh of Lower Biddeford attended the Goodwin-Hatch wedding Saturday. jRev. Augustus Thompson visited his j daughter, Mrs. George Gould, over j the week end.Dr. R. Fulton Johnston of Boston City hospital was in town Saturday for the Goodwin-Hatch wedding.Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Davis and daughters, Eleanor, Evelyn and Rosemary, of Biddeford, attended the Goodwin-Hatch wedding, Saturday.Rev. Augustus Thompson preached at the Advent church Sunday morning. He was formerly pastor in this place.The union services Sunday night were at the Methodist church.
