Miss Edmunds, Glen Abel WedIn Methodist Ceremony HereMiss Mary L. Edmunds became the bride of Glen A. Abel in a double ring ceremony recently in the First Methodist Church. The Rev. David K, Fison officiated and organist Mrs. Sha ron R1 eggar s played traditional wedding music.Mr. and Mrs, Howard Edmunds Sr. of 1526 Eielson St, are the parents of the bride and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard £. Abel of Fairbanks,Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white crepe formal length gown with a chapel train, with a band of lace at the waistline and atthewrists. Her bouffant elbow-length illusion veil was attached to a crown of seed pearls and she carried a bouquet of roses and gardenia s.Mrs, William I. Green was the bride’s matron of honor and wore a royal blue floor length gown with a velvet bodice and a skirt of crepe. She carried an arrange-ment of yellow chrysanthemums and gardenias.William Wortaan was the bridegroom’s best man and ushers were Scott Wortman and Howard Edmunds.For her daughter's wedding, Mrs, Edmunds wore a turquoise two-piece wool suit and a corsage of roses. The bridegroom's mother was attired in a coral suit, and also wore a rose corsage,Mrs, Mary Zimmer, the bridegroom’s grandmother was a special guest at the wedding, and the reception which foiiwed the ceremony.Mrs, Bill Straub served punch at the reception in Vesper Hall of the church. Also assisting were Miss Susan Abel, Mrs. Simon C. Huffman and Mrs. Gary Hopping.The new Mrs. Abel is graduate of Lathrop High School andMR. AND MRS. GLEN A. ABEL ... wed in First Methodistattended the University of Alaska, and Alaska Methodist University in Anchorage. She is employed as a medical technologist at the Fairbanks Medical and Surgical Clinic.Abel attended Lathrop High School. He is a mailcarrier for the Fairbanks Post Office,Mrs. Abel wore a cranberry wool suit when the couple leftfor a honeymoon trip to Anchorage and Seward.
