Clark-ChaneyWedding AtSecond ChurchMrs. Joan May (Martin) Chaney of 107 Meridian St., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Martin of Shutesbury, was married to William Charles Clark of 10 Power Square, Saturday afternoon.Rev. Raymond Williams performed the double-ring ceremony in Russell Memorial Chapel, Second Congregational Church. William Rugg played traditional wedding music. White pompons were used in decoration.The bride was attended by her sister, Mrs. Sylvia Phillips, as matron of honor. Her niece, Miss Debra Lee Phillips, was flower girl.Robert Phillips was best man. Brothers of the bridegroom, Jason Clark, Sr., and Harold Clark, Jr., were ushers.The bride wore a gown of light blue peau de soie with jacket and detachable tulip train of lace. §he carried a cascade of white roses and blue carnations.Her matron of honor wore a gown of pink crushed taffeta with matching headpiece and earned, a bouquet of pink and white roses. The flower girl wore an Empire gown of pink taffeta and carried pink and white roses.The bride’s mother wore a dress of beige taffeta and lace with beige accessories and a corsage of pink carnations. The bridegroom’s grandmother wore a navy dress with white accessories and a corsage of white carnations.The reception and buffet was at Old Stone Lodge, Gill, for 75. The bridegroom’s sister, Mrs. Ethel Hutchinson, had charge of the guest book and Mrs. Adele Clark cut the cake. Pink and white streamers and bells decorated the lodge and the centerpiece was of pink and white carnations.Mr. and Mrs. Clark will make their home at 107 Meridian* St. after Oct. 23 and an unannounced wedding trip. For traveling, the bride wore a two-piece dress of green wool, a mink stole and fall corsage.The bride is a graduate of Greenfield High School and is a nurse’s aide at Franklin County Public Hospital.
