John Sammons lost a fine Jersey cow Sunday morning by death, caused by indigestion, Mrs. Mary Gooxins who has been seriously ill is on a fair way to re covery. Mrs. Margaret Vasser had a sale of her personal property Thursday and will go to live with her daughter at Spencer, Ind. John Harvest, South of town, is quite ill with typhoid fever. Dr. Heath, of Pierceville, has rented Mrs. Wagner's property on Main St. and will move here in a few days for the practice of medicine. George Hertenstein, of Laroze, NL, and sister Cora, of Muncie, Ind., were called here last week by the serious illness of their sister, Mary Gookina. Arthur Bodenberg and Miss Rose Brucer were married last Wednesday morning by Rev. Roger at the parson age. They are at home to their friends on the farm of the groom's father, Louis Bodenberg. Mrs. Fannie Wagner is visiting rel atives at Indianapolis, Prof. Black and wife are wise keeping in Mrs. Lissette’s property. The 1st quarterly meeting of the Batesville charge will be held at the M. E. church saturday afternoon at 7 o'clock. Dr. Murphy the new Dis trict Supt. will preach Saturday evening at 7:30. Sunday morning at 10 o'clock the Jove feast will be held and at 10:30 Dr. Murphy will preach again. A cordial invitation extended to all to attend these services.
