Dowd Jr.Pink carnations, whitesweetheart roses, daisies andchrysanthemums decorated thealtar of the Saron Lutheran Church of Youngsville for the marriage of Linda Diane Fehlman to Ralph James Dowd Jr., on Saturday, Sept. 28.The Rev. Raymond For-strom, pastor, performed the double ring ceremony. Katherine Vicander, organist, and Ralph Wiles, soloist, provided the wedding music.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Fehlman of Pittsfield. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Dowd, 25 Vega st,, Jamestown, N. Y.Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride wore a white organza over bridal taffeta A-line gown featuring a high crown collar, v-neckline bib, empire bodice and long bishop sleeves. The gown was accented with venise lace and tiny pink florettes. The skirt finished in a chapel-length train. Her mantilla of illusion was edged in scalloped lace and was caught to a bonnet. She carried a bouquet of pink sweetheartroses and white carnations.Maid of honor was Debra Fehlman, bride’s sister from Pittsfield, dressed in a hot pink knit, floor-length gown accented by a looped bow headpiece. She carried a bouquet of pink carnations and white sweetheart roses. Bridesmaids, dressed similarly, were Rebecca Dowd, bridegroom’s sister and Peggy Groner of Corry, Pa.Christian Fondt was the best man with ushers Lyle Fehlman, bride’s brother, of Pittsfield, and David Brigiotta of Jamestown, N. Y.Ron Carrington and the Sound of Country provided the reception music. The affair was held at the Brokenstraw Fish and Game Club. Aides for the affair were Miss Beth Benson of Michigan, in charge of the guest book and Mrs. Marie Sobeck cut the wedding cake.The bride is a 1970 graduate of Youngsville High School and is presently employed by the New Process Co. of Warren. The bridegroom is a 1968 graduate of Jamestown, (N. Y.) HighSchool and is currently employed by the Klings Division of Ethan Allen in Frewsburg,N. Y.Pre-nuptial affairs were given by Marie Sobeck, Barb Shields, Joanne Paulson and Bonnie Sobeck; Mrs. Ralph Dowd and Rebecca Dowd, and Debra Fehlman and PeggyGroner.Following a trip through the southern states, the coupleresides at 224 N. Carver St., Apt.1, Warren.
