Bride-ElectBeing FetedMISSION — Two social events during the week-end were prenuptial gestures honoring Miss Jacqueline Romo whose engagement to Francis McDonald Hamlin of Mission and Laredo was announced Jatc in September by 'neri mother, Mrs. Maurice Rome. The wedding will take place Wednesday. October 18, at St. Paul's Catholic Church In Mission.Thursday evening, four hostesses joined to extend a shower gesture at the home o£ Mrs. John Woolf, Hostesses with Mrs. Woolf were Mrs. Joe N. Summers. Mrs. W. H, Briscoe, and Mrs. John Bran nan. A theme of pink and white was noted in the floral decorations aboxit. the .reception rooms, with an .all-winte themc'used in the dining room to accent the bridal motif. :The centerpiece which rested in; the mirror plaque xvas of white corona blossoms. Tapers in crystal holders completed the table decor.' Pouring during the hours were Mrs. Lein Bourgeois and*Mrs. W. 0-Brown, aunts of the bride-eiect, and Mrs. Fred L. Hedges, a cousin. Assisting in hostess dirties were, Mrs. Don Johnson, Miss Margaret j Walsh, and Miss Marjorie Praia. ;A personnel of seventy guestsj was represented in (lie shower i gesture.Sunday morning.
