The marriage of Miss Christina Wolf and Michael J. Thelen was solemnized in St. Mary’s church at Alton on Tuesday October sixth at eight-thirty o’clock. Miss Regina Biever was bridesmaid while John Thelen acted as groomsman. The bride’s beautiful gown was composed of white net over white satin and the dress of the bridesmaid was of Nile green silk. The groom and groomsman wore the conventional black. Rev. J. H. Gehling of Hoepers per formed the ceremony in the absence of Rev. P. J. Brune who was at Carroll. After the ceremony thehappy couple repaired ti the Thelenhome where they and a few of their nearest relatives partook of. a wedding dinner. The bride is a daugh ter of Mrs. Margaret Wolf who resides four and a half miles south of Alton. She is very popular among her many friendB and is fitted in every way to make a good mistress of a home. ‘The groom—who is a joung man of integrity aud industry—has been conducting a farm near Carnes for the past four years and it is here that he and his bride will make their future home. He is a son of Mrs. Catharine Thelen of Alton. The happv couple departed for LeMars Tuesday afternoon and passed through Alton that night en route to the Twin Cities where they are spending their honeymoon. Those who attended from out of town were John Thelen of Ashton, Mrs. John Goedert of Carroll, Peter Odenbrett aud wife of Fulda Minnesota, John Kenkel of Sheldon, Matt Goergon of Granville and Misses Gertrude and Josephine Thelen. The two latter ladies are attending school at St. Paul and arrived in lton Tuesday of last week.
