Police Report 2 Dog and Cat BitesTwo animal bites were reported to Mason City police over the weekend. Both of the animals, a dog and cat, are being held for ten days for rabies observation.Saturday afternoon police were told that Barbara Dehnert, 5, Caspian, Mich., was treated at Park Hospital for a cat bite on the lip and tongue. The Dehnert girl had been playing with a stray cat at 930 15th N.E. where she was visiting. The cat was brought to the police station and placed in a cage where it will be heldfor ten clays.Sunday morning Mrs. Pete Smidt, 825 5th S.W., told police that her daughter Diana, 2, was bitten on the hand by an unlicensed dog. The dog was picked up by police and is being held for observation for ten days.
