DenneyRoodhouse—Marriage vows were spoken at 5 o’clck Sunday afternoon, October 3, by Miss Marilyn Harp, daughter of Attorney and Mrs. W. O. Harp of Roodhouse, and Ray R. Denney, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Denney, also of Roodhouse.The ceremony was performed by Rev. C L. Leitze, assisted by Rev. P. G Batty, at the home of the bride’s parentsArrangements of palms, ferns, baskets of mixed glads and babybreath and candleabra made a pretty setting for the ceremony, which was preceded by recordings of soft wedding music. Selections played were Oh Promise Me,” I Love You Truly” and “Always.” Just before the traditional wedding march, candles were lighted and two lovely vocal numbers, “Because” arid “I Love You,” were sung by Mrs. Robert Mc-Caherty, accompanied at the piano by Miss Marcele Casteel.As the bride descended an ivy entwined stairway, she was met by her father, who gave her in marriage.Bride Wears Gray SaitThe bride was attired in a gray suit with bronze accessories. Her only jewelry was a strand of pearls. Her corsage was of talisman roses and gysophelia. The maid of honor, Kfiss Sue Carol Silvernail, wore a grey suit with black accessories and a corsage of red .roses.The bride’s mother wore a brown crepe dress with matching accessories, while the groom’c mother chose a royal blue crepe complimented with black accessories. Both wore corsages of gardeniasThe groom was attended by his toother, Joe W. Denney, as best man. Ushers for the occasion were Maurice, Daniel, Merle and O. D. Harp, all brothers of the bride.A reception followed. A beautiful three-tiered wedding cake was first cut by the bride and groom and then served with otlxer refreshments by the Mesdames Joe W. Denney, Merle Harp and O. D. Harp. Guests were registered by Miss Patricia Sil-vemaii.After the reception the couple left on a trip through the Ozarks, and on their return will be at home in an apartment being made ready for them at 621 South Thompson street in Roodhouse.
