Perry - RichardsNuptials SaturdayThe Margaretville Methodist church* was the scene of a beautiful wedding when Miss G. Janice Richard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Haggerty, became the brideof Joseph W. Perry of Brooklyn Saturday afternoon, Oct. 2. The ceremony was performed by, Dr. Walter E. Thompson of Round Lake, N. Y., assisted by Rev. Eugene Crabb, pastor of the church. The double ring ceremonywas used.The church was decorated with palms and baskets of white and picardi gladioli. Traditional wedding music was played by Miss Grace Williams, organist of the Grace Methodist church of Brook-lyn. The soloist was Mrs. Lola Davis of Delhi, who sang “Because” by D'Har de-lot and “I LoveThee” from Greig.The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of ivory slipper satin withorchid motifs embroidered inopalescent beads, long ‘pointed sleeves, full skirt and long train. Her veil, which fell from a braided tiara of satin was an heirloom from the family of a friend, of rare old lace which had been worn by brides of three generations. Her bouquet was of orchids and white roses.The maid of honor, Miss Mary Youngs of Schoharie, was gownedin American. Beauty satin, made with net yoke, dropped shoulders, short sleeves and mitts, and a full skirt with bustle effect. The bridesmaids, Miss Shiela Blanchard of Oneonta and Miss Patricia Mumme of Glens Falls, wore peacock blue satin dresses similar to that of the m§id of honor. All three attendants wore braidedtiaras of the same material as the dresses and carried bouquets of talisman roses.The bride's mother wore a gown of dark brown crepe with beige accessories. Her corsage was oftalisman roses.(Continued on page 4)
